Most online stores end up as a separate system. Orders live in one place, stock in another, and someone spends the last week of every month making the two agree.
Zoho Commerce sits inside the same ecosystem as your accounting and inventory, so it does not have to work that way.
What Zoho Commerce is
A no-code store builder with hosting and SSL included, product and inventory management, order processing, payment gateway integration and shipping and tax configuration, run from one dashboard.
Two things matter for Indian businesses. Zoho does not take a cut of your sales, so while you still pay your payment gateway, the platform itself does not charge a transaction fee. And it connects natively to Zoho Books, Inventory and CRM, so orders and stock reach your accounts without an export.
It handles B2C, D2C and B2B, including differential pricing for trade customers.
Honest positioning against Shopify and WooCommerce
We would rather tell you this before you engage us than after.
Shopify has a far bigger app marketplace and more theme choice. If your store needs a niche third-party app, Shopify probably has it and Zoho probably does not. Costs climb with apps and transaction fees.
WooCommerce is cheaper to start and infinitely customisable, but you own the hosting, security, updates and plugin conflicts. That is a real ongoing cost, usually paid in someone’s time.
Zoho Commerce makes most sense when you are already on Zoho, or intend to be. The value is the integration, with catalogue, stock and accounts in one place. If you are not going to use Zoho Books, that advantage largely disappears and Shopify is probably the better answer.
We will tell you which of the three fits. Sometimes it is not us.
What we set up
Store build – catalogue structure, product data, categories, variants, images and copy.
Tax configuration – GST rates against HSN codes at product level, so invoices are correct without manual fixes.
Payments – Indian gateway integration and reconciliation into your books.
Shipping – zones, rates and delivery rules.
Books integration – orders flowing into accounting, stock decrementing, receivables tracked.
Inventory – a single stock figure across online and offline, if you also run a counter.
Where this works best
Businesses already running Zoho Books that want to sell online without a second system. Retailers going online who need one stock figure across both. B2B sellers who need customer-group pricing rather than a single public price list.
If you sell online and bill at a counter, Zoho POS shares the same catalogue and stock. For the accounting side, see Zoho Finance, or our full Zoho services.
